  • Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach
    For creation of a series of screen prints exploring the impact of violence on the Asian American community, to be shared at public events, libraries, community centers, & other sites in Alameda, San Francisco and San Mateo Counties

  • Loved Twice
    To provide warm essential garments to Asian newborns-in-need through partnership with Frank Kiang Medical Center and Asian Health Services

  • J-Sei, Inc
    To provide Asian Day lunches for seniors at the J-Sei Senior Center

  • Oakland Fukuoka Sister City Association
    For Two Abstract Photography Workshops to celebrate their 50th Anniversary

  • Lotus Bloom Child & Family Resource Center
    For educational supplies for a family field trip (75 families) to visit Lawrence Hall of Science

  • American Indian School
    To purchase components and accessories for a computer lab

  • Oakland Asian Cultural Center
    To help fund school tours, outreach programs, and purchase Asian cultural art materials

  • Chinese Presbyterian Church
    To purchase additional and replacement hand bells for the youth performers

  • Bay Area Go Association
    For a "Wei-Chi Day" at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center to introduce to the public the classic game of Go (wei-chi, or weiqi) and its rich cultural significance

  • Salvation Army
    For a mural project that celebrates the heritage of the Oakland Chinatown neighborhood and to improve the overall appearance of the community

  • Oakland Digital Arts & Literacy Center
    For a Formative Computer Skills Program that will teach 50 disadvantaged individuals the digital skills needed to compete and succeed in today's economy

  • Love Twice
    To support a program that provides used baby clothing to underprivileged newborns in the community

  • Oakland-Fukuoka Sister City Association
    35th Annual Oakland Fukuoka Youth Exchange Program that sponsors Japanese students to visit Bay Area

  • East Bay Asian Outreach Youth Ministry
    To help fund activities of its "Spark" youth program

  • Chinese Christian School in Alameda
    Chinese-English dictionaries for its Chinese library

  • Oakland Asian Library
    To expand multi-language collection of books

  • Lincoln Square Recreation Center
    To host a basketball tournament

  • San Leandro Chinese Christian School
    Acquisition of Mac computers for Cutting Edge Computer Arts Project

  • Lao Family Community Development
    Purchase cultureal-related materials and books

  • Friends of the Asian Library
    Acquire educational books

  • Therapy Pets
    sponsor pet visits to enrich the lives of individuals in hospitals, nursing homes, and other facilities

  • Asian Pacific Psychological Services

    Create a resource center that includes after-school tutorial programs, ESL training, and supervised recreational activities

  • Asian Health Services Perinatal Empowerment Program
    To obtain "Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies" handbooks in multi-languages to be available for low-income limited English pregnant women
